Nantucket has an awesome foodie scene with tons of variety for the whole family! Read below for a few family friendly recommendations, along with some date night suggestions as well.
- Millie’s Nantucket: Excellent tacos, margaritas and quesadillas for the kiddos. Their original location is in Madaket, but they recently opened a satellite location in town (Millie’s Mid-Island at the Rotary)! The Madaket location is a bit of a hike from town, but biking there for dinner, then to check out the sunset on the adjacent beach is a must!
- Nantucket Lobster Trap: I’ve never eaten at the original restaurant in town, but the food truck at Cisco Brewers is a regular for us. Menu typically includes seafood empanadas, scallop roll, sweet potato fries and more.
- Lola 41 Nantucket: While this might not seem like a kid-friendly spot, it can work for a nicer, sit down dinner where you and your spouse eat, while the kids watch something. The mac and cheese satisfied our kiddos, then we let them watch Paw Patrol on my phone! salmon and halibut for date night. Super fresh seafood, sushi and more!
- Lemon Press: Both an in-town brick and mortar restaurant and occasionally a food truck at Cisco Brewers! In-town, it’s a great take out spot for breakfast and lunch. Their food truck services fun, unique items like Greek nachos with feta queso!
- The Green Nantucket: You can’t get a better burrito on Nantucket—and honestly, might not be able to get a better burrito anywhere else I’ve eaten. They also serve fantastic smoothies that are a hit with kids! Dine at one of our their outdoor picnic tables or take to-go to the beach. Just watch the seagulls, so they don’t take your lunch!
- The Juice Bar: One of the many ice cream shops in Nantucket, but the best. They offer vegan options for those interested!
- The Tavern and Gazebo: While we’re not huge fans of the food at the Tavern, we do love stopping for a few drinks at the Gazebo during a date night!
- Pi Pizzeria: Excellent pizza in a relaxed, but classy setting. The menu includes other classic Italian dishes as well, so it appeals to a wide variety!
- Ventuno: Downtown Italian spot with a super relaxing patio! Fresh pasta, great wine and relaxing, yet elegant vibes!
- The Rose & Crown: Not the prettiest spot and the bar food is average, but they regularly have live music and they stay open late! Great atmosphere for a lively date night!
I could go on and on, but will keep this post short! Part two of this post to come at a later date!
