Is it worth booking your trips through a travel agent? Yes, absolutely! Here are some benefits:

  • Cost: It’s a misconception that you pay more when booking through a travel agent. Typically, you’ll save some cash due to discounts/incentives that they have access to.
  • Convenience: It’s just easier! Less research and planning. They can get answers to questions you have about the resort from their contacts. Plus, they handle the hassles of booking transfer to/from the airport.
  • Information/expertise: No matter how much research you do, an experienced travel agent will always have the inside scoop on a destination or property. Having that advice is extremely helpful!
  • Support: If you run into any issues, your travel agent can always act as an advocate for you! It’s much easier to communicate an issue to your travel agent and let them handle the nitty gritty with the property vs. you standing at the front desk!
  • Upgrades: 99% of the time, you get a room upgrade! So far, we’ve received upgrades to larger suites, access to premium spaces and credits for on-site experiences/restaurants. Funny part of one of our upgrades—we went from a room with a king bed to a room with two doubles. Yes, Cooper had a crib at the time, but he ultimately ended up wanting to be in bed with us, so there was a lot of bed shuffling going on! (They didn’t have any king rooms left in the premium area, so we dealt with it!)
